Abubakr Fakhry is the founder of ARKanum youth program that began in June 2015. Abubakr is a Canadian citizen who grew up in Egypt. For years, Abubakr made his living as an electrical engineer until he allowed his real passion, youth development, to totally redirect his energy! This new focus took Abubakr to over 30 countries to fine tune his vision and to lead more than a dozen adventures with young people from around our planet. He gained more knowledge as a fellow at both the Center for Inter-Religious and Communal Leadership Education (CIRCLE) and at Boston Bridges. Abubakr’s formal credits include a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in organizational leadership. He keeps digging in deeper, serving now as the youth director at the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center and as the chaplain at Boston University.
